FILMS I LIKE
I like films that deal with human relationships, that talk about feelings, social problems, present society problems..... Most of the films Iwatch are European and South American though there are some good independent North American movies I also love.As for Spanish films, I think there are some interesting Spanish directors( Almodóvar, Julio Médem,Isabel Coixet, Maria Ripoll ... just to mention some ).Isabel Coixet isone of my favourite directors; she is Catalan but she usually works in the USA.She has directed films such as My life without me andThe secret life of words, two of the best films I have ever seen
Here I attach a trailer of one of the last films I really loved : BABEL
BABEL, one of the best films I’ve recently seen
Two weeks ago I went to see the film BABEL with a couple of friends. Lots of people had told me about it; some recommended it and others said it was good but a little nonsense. I don’t like when people recommend a movie, or reading much about it mainly because then my expectations are too high; let’s say I prefer recommending it to others. Do you know what BABEL refers to ?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babel
So, I went to Girona with my two friends. I LOVED IT ! 3 stories set in 3 completely different spots but the 3 are intertwinned. The message? Well, there is not just one but something related to PEOPLE’S unability to communicate, to show feelings; you can touch, feel, experiment people’s suffering. It’s a deep film but I promise it’s worthwile
